Acquisition Announcement Fleetmind Univerus

BURNABY, BC – (July 15, 2026) – Univerus, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions, today announced the acquisition of the assets of the FleetMind business from Safe Fleet, a Clarience Technologies Company. A pioneer in "smart truck" technology, FleetMind provides a comprehensive fleet management platform specifically designed for the waste and recycling industry.

The acquisition strengthens the Univerus suite of vertical market solutions, specifically within the logistics and public works sectors. FleetMind’s technology enables waste haulers to link drivers and vehicles to back-office operations in real-time, driving significant gains in productivity, safety, and customer service.

A Comprehensive Solution for Waste & Recycling Operations

Waste and recycling fleets face unique operational challenges, from complex route optimization to the need for service verification. FleetMind addresses these through an integrated ecosystem of software and hardware. Core capabilities include:

  • FleetLink™ Route Management: A robust system for dispatching, real-time tracking, and turn-by-turn navigation that minimizes manual processes and reduces routing errors.

  • FleetLink™ Safety Dashboard: A web-based reporting environment providing visibility into critical safety indicators, including driver behavior analysis (speeding, harsh braking) and incident investigation.

  • On-Board Computing & Video: Rugged in-cab technology and multi-camera systems that provide 360° visibility, helping reduce blind spots and providing high-definition video evidence for service verification.

  • WasteApp™: A mobile application that digitizes work orders, automates pick-up confirmations through "auto-stop" technology, and enables paperless field operations for drivers and supervisors.

Strategic Integration and Growth

The addition of FleetMind fits seamlessly into the Univerus ecosystem, particularly complementing existing routing and asset management tools. By centralizing data from on-board sensors, cameras, and GPS into a single platform, FleetMind provides "one version of the truth" for fleet operators, a capability further enhanced by its existing integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

“FleetMind has an outstanding reputation for innovation and reliability in the waste management sector,” said Brad Atchison, CEO of Univerus. “Their mission-critical technology aligns perfectly with our goal of delivering unified, intelligent tools to our customers. We are excited to integrate FleetMind’s capabilities into our portfolio and support its next stage of growth.”

The acquisition is intended to provide continuity for existing FleetMind customers, who will continue to be supported while benefiting from the resources and technical expertise of the broader Univerus organization.
